Pencil and marker on paper and photogram, UV Black light 2024 – 2025
The works on the wall are drawings inspired by archaeological remains and fossils I found during my research at The Warburg Institute in London, as well as some invertebrate fossils from Turkey. The targets on them are highlighted with phosphorescent material. Under UV lights, these marks reference the phosphorescent lines in video footage recorded by night vision cameras and war machines.
The photograms on the floor and in the central installation were created by exposing various objects (dead insects, charging cables, snail shells, silicone molds, wax molds, pipes) to sunlight and using different chemical and organic dyes. These works function as the shadow of the pieces on the wall.
