Displaced I, II, Clouds of Dust, Silent Mountain, Clouds Earth are oil painting series which focus on a moments in Werner Herzog’s film ‘Where the Green Ants Dream’.
It traces a moment together with the concepts of displacement, migration, placelessness and homelessness, which I have been dealing with as a research topic for a long time. Based on the story of the displacement of the natives in the middle of the desert, these works aim to visually address the issue of displacement of people in today’s life. Deserted and destroyed barracks, tunnel passages used for shelter, and mountains and clouds in the middle of a deserted desert. What kind of life can there be without people?
